- Yerba mate contains caffeine and should not be used by those who are sensitive or allergic to caffeine. Excessive consumption of caffeine is contraindicated for persons with high blood pressure, diabetes, ulcers, and other diseases.
- Yerba mate should not be consumed excessively and
chronically (as it has been documented to increase the
risk of oral and esophageal cancers).
- Suma has been documented to contain a significant amount of plant sterols including a significant amount of beta-ecdysterone and small amounts of stigmasterol and beta-sitosterol. Animal studies suggest that suma can raise estradiol-17beta, progesterone and testosterone levels. In addition, this plant has been traditionally used in Brazil to regulate menstrual processes, as well as for menopause, PMS, and other hormonal disorders. As such, it is advisable for women with estrogen-positive cancers to avoid the use of this plant.
- This plant is traditionally used as a sedative and may cause drowsiness.
- Mulungu has demonstrated hypotensive actions in animal studies. It is probably contraindication in persons with low blood pressure.
Ingredients: 100% pure abuta vine (Cissampelos pareira). No binders, fillers or additives are used. This product is non-irradiated and non-fumigated. This is a wild harvested plant—grown naturally in the Brazilian Amazon without any pesticides or fertilizers.
Drug Interactions: Based on animal studies, abuta may potentiate heart medications.

- Animal studies suggest that damiana has hypoglycemic actions. People with low blood sugar should be monitored more closely for this possible effect.
